Yes – it’s here! We have now launched our new offsite programme of exciting exhibition projects and lively learning programmes for autumn 2012.

To kick things off we have Sandfields Festival of Ideas taking place this weekend on Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 September, 10am – 9pm, with the opening on Friday 31 August, 6pm. Vetch Veg artist Owen Griffiths and Glynn Vivian Art Gallery present a whole weekend of events, installations, music and workshops taking place at the historic Vetch Field in Swansea City Centre. All events are free and everyone is welcome. Check out our website for the full programme

Our workshop season begins this September at our new base at the YMCA, with practical art classes for adults, families and 55+. On 8 September why not drop into the YMCA from 11am – 4pm for our Saturday Family Workshops. No booking is required and you can spend an hour or stay all day.

New for this autumn, we launch our Artist in Residence programme at the YMCA. This is an opportunity for the community to engage with an artist, offering artists time for reflection, research and collaboration. In September, we welcome Richard Higlett who will be sharing his practice with the community, presenting the questions and ideas that concern him.

Exhibitions projects will take place across the City whilst our learning activities continue at the YMCA in the city centre.
