To celebrate World Book Day today (Thursday 6 March) the Glynn Vivian Young People’s group Black Kettle Collective have been busy creating a community lending library at the Glynn Vivian’s offsite home in the YMCA.

The Lending Library is made up of art books on artists, movements, artist monographs, past Glynn Vivian catalogues, contemporary and historical catalogues and artist’s books.

Funkily organised using a rainbow colour cataloguing system, it will operate on an honesty policy where anyone can borrow, contribute or admire the vast selection of art literature and colours on offer.

The Lending Library is free to anyone who wants to stop by, pick up a book, sit, read it or take it away for extended reading, on the promise of returning the book at a later date.

Library users are also encouraged to bring their own books to share and add to the library.

Wedi’i threfnu’n ffynci gan ddefnyddio system gatalogio lliwiau, bydd yn gweithredu ar bolisi gonestrwydd lle gall unrhyw un fenthyg, cyfrannu neu edmygu detholiad helaeth y llenyddiaeth gelf a lliwiau sydd ar gael.

Mae’r llyfrgell fenthyca am ddim i unrhyw un sydd am alw heibio, casglu llyfr, eistedd, ei ddarllen neu fynd ag ef i ddarllen mwy ohono.
