Maria Pask: Manfinger

On Thursday 10 April,  Glynn Vivian Offsite is delighted to present Manfinger, a newly commissioned, documentary film by Welsh artist, Maria Pask that takes inspiration from Swansea’s alternative music scene and rich cultural heritage.

Inspired by the artist’s love of the bands Badfinger and Man, the documentary film reveals a series of present day conversations reflecting on the Swansea rock scene of the 1970s, including candid interviews from local musicians and personal memories from local music fans of the time.

These conversations are presented alongside a portrayal of the music culture in Swansea today, through singing art students, sound workshops, working closely alongside local community and societal groups.

You can see Manfinger at Elysium Gallery, 11 April – 26 April. Open Wednesday – Saturday, 12 – 5pm
